Established in 2004 by Octopus Investments, Octopus Private Equity has £110m under management. We are the most active investor in the UK lower mid market with an experienced, dynamic and ambitious team. Between us we have completed 106 deals and exited 81.

We are looking to back high quality and ambitious management teams who are seeking to make a significant capital gain over a three to five year period. We will invest between £2m and £8m of equity to support buy-outs, accelerate growth, or make strategic acquisitions. We do not invest in start-up or early stage companies.

We pride ourselves on our open and transparent style of communication. We will give you swift and clear feedback if an opportunity is not for us and will keep you informed of what we are thinking throughout the deal process and beyond. We then actively work with the teams we back to maximise shareholder value.
